Jo Landron Muscadet Sevre Et Maine "Amphibolite"

18,50 €

Jo Landron's Amphibolite takes its name from the distinctive green rock found in this vineyard and is one of the producer's most vibrant, fresh, energetic Muscadet. Everything revolves around its salinity, with strong herbal notes - think freshness of celery leaves. It's a well-rounded, no winemaking finessing, capturing the characteristics of the varietal and terroir from which it comes, and infusing the wine with intense mineral elements. Like a "crack" of minerality reminiscent of shellfish shells. It doesn't have the complexity of Landron's more mature Muscadet but the delightful character of its youth.

More info

Amphibolite remains in contact with the lees for six months. Vinification takes place in concrete underground tanks and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, as Jo does with all his wines. It is by no means a neutral wine and remains entirely consistent with the style of the region. Mineral, with beautifully juicy if slightly acidic citrus fruit which is in symphony with electric tensions and unparalleled freshness. A wine that can be enjoyed alongside raw fish and especially with ceviche and carpaccio preparations.
