    It is no coincidence that a region like Alto Piemonte where Nebbiolo gives amazing red wines with finesse, acidity, freshness and delicate lines can also give excellent rosés. The reason is the climate of the region which is more extreme in helping the grape to fully ripen. Consider the wine counterpart of our own Amyndeon which is also one of the main rosé wine production zones in Greece. Thus Rosa del Rosa was one of the first rosés of the Northern Piedmont a choice driven by the extreme climatic conditions of the region that in cases where although the grapes were not perfectly ripe for reds, they were ideal for expressing the aroma, freshness and energy of a great rosé. If you were drinking a rosé made from Xinomavro, what wouldn't make you drink an amazing rosé made from Barolo?

    From grapes grown in four different vineyards in the greater Lessona and Bramaterra area, one of which, the Madonna degli Angeli vineyard, is home to 45-90 year old vines, Rosa del Rosa is an elegant and complex rosé wine, full of personality, energy and mineral notes on the finish. The altitude of the vineyards ranges from 290 to 420 meters and the wine is a 90% Nebbiolo blend with a "hint" of the Vespolina variety giving a spicy dimension to the wine. Crisp, fresh, with fruit and minerality, this is a rosé that departs from the classic monotone recipe of most rosés around the world. Contact with the skins lasts for 6 hours before the juice is removed and the wine is aged for 5 months in contact with the lees.
