The fantastic Premier Cru vineyard is the only one of Domaine de Villaine's Rully 1er Cru vineyards to be planted with both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This vineyard is one of the finest climates in the region, and the Pinot Noir it produces is just as beautiful, elegant and refined. A wine that combines fresh red fruits such as raspberry and red berries with finesse and elegance on the palate, underlined by silky-textured tannins. Extremely expressive on the palate, with a lovely attack of fruit and minerality, a wine that strikes a balance between the charm of Pinot Noir's fruit flesh and the beautiful structure offered by its tannins. Its aromatic freshness and airy character are reminiscent of its white “brother” from the same vineyard. Fermentation in whole bunches gives the wine exceptional texture and depth on the palate, without losing its elegance and airy character. The wine is characterized by an infinite freshness of acidity and its ability to delight varietal enthusiasts with its refined character, the hallmark of great Burgundy wines.
