Champagne Benoît Lahaye Rosé de Macération

74,70 €

Benoit produces a rosé champagne that stands out, as one would expect from a rosé champagne from the grand cru of Bouzy, a village famous for the strongest Pinot Noir in all of Campania. Intense and with great depth, this is a rosé champagne made from 100% Pinot Noir from Les Juliennes, a white-soil vineyard planted in 1973. Whole bunches are extracted for 2 to 3 days before going through the press and the base wine is not filtered before the second fermentation. A champagne with deep floral character and the fresh red fruit of Pinot Noir in the foreground - wild red berries and cranberries, full of expression. An extra green herbal dimension and notes of brioche and brioche give great interest to the wine, which has very low dosage levels and is classified as a perfectly dry version of a rosé champagne.

More info

A rosé champagne with the depth and personality one expects from a red Pinot Noir grown in the grand cru of Bouzy. Beautifully juicy on the fruit and with excellent concentration, elements that then lead to a mouthfeel with a slight tannic dimension from the contact of the base wine for at least 2-3 days with the skins, which is where it gets its colour from. It is no coincidence that Benoit, a true star of the naturalistic producers of Campania, is one of those producers of Bouzy who manages to "interpret" in the best way this great terroir renowned for the power of its wines. This is exactly what happens with the gastronomic, uplifting Rose d'maceration.
