Milia Riza The Experiential Brut

26,80 €

Few residual sugars, enough to belong to the category of brut (dry) sparkling wines, but with a hint of sweetness that perfectly balances the acidity, Experiental Blanc de Gris is another sparkling wine made with the traditional Milia Riza method. The Muscovy is the perfect canva to "paint" on the wonderful aromas of the variety where, however, here they benefit from the base wine's stay in second-use oak barrels and the technique of the traditional method. Its complexity is excellent with herbal notes, barrel and yeast in perfect harmony, while the mouthfeel of the wine is a combination of richness and freshness with a beautiful creamy texture and a spicy character on the finish. An excellent experiment by Milia Riza on the potential of Moschofilero and one of the winery's multi-dimensional wines that manages to combine generous character with a crisp mouthfeel.

More info

A different approach on the Moschofilero of Mantineia with the base wine being aged in French oak barrels before starting the second fermentation process in the bottle and the total stay of the wine for 19 months in contact with the lees. Generously expressive and spicy, with acidity balanced by the few residual sugars, this is a sparkling wine that is an excellent match for Asian cuisine. Think spicy flavours and Experiental quenching the "heat" of Indian or Thai dishes.
