Domaine Champalou Vouvray "Les Tries"

54,80 €

The sweet wines of Vouvray are legendary and really grow in a magical way. Les Tries is produced exclusively from noble rot grapes and has only been produced 5 times in total since 1984. The grapes are harvested one by one, with many passes (in French "tries" hence the name of the wine) through the vineyard. Only grapes at an advanced stage of noble rot are selected. Next to the rich sweetness of the wine, the high acidity immediately restores the balance which makes Les Tries extremely tasty and charming. Complexity, stunning tensions and sensationally deep flavors result in a top-notch sweet wine that will continue to improve in the bottle for many years to come.

More info

On the one hand, great aromatic and flavour concentration, intensely oily sensation and richness in the mouth. On the other hand, excellent range, air and freshness. Multi-layered flavours and aromas, notes of quince, toast, caramel, along with strong dry-fruit elements. Richly sweet but with terrific lift and spirit leading to an exciting finish with lingering length and continued flavor evolution. The 175gr/lt of residual sugars will be hard to perceive due to the insurmountable balance between sweetness and acidity it possesses.
