Beppe Marino Moscato d'Asti Muray

We can't help but admit that we like Moscato d'Asti. It is perhaps one of the happiest wines on this planet, a wine that can certainly change the mood. Beppe Marino's Muray is a very thoughtful example of the style. The old vineyards on the steep hills of Santo Stefano Belbo are spectacular. The winemaking style "traps" all the aromatic assets of White Muscat in a wrapper of low alcohol and balanced sweetness. Forget the notion of industrialization that often accompanies this style of wine. Here we are talking about an artisanal production, with a lot of care, care that gives a sincere expression of the grape's gifts. Aromas of Muscat, honey, rose, lemon blossom and acacia, with sweetness beautifully balanced by fresh acidity and an "airy" dimension on the palate.

More info

Murray takes its name from the words Mulberry (Mu) and Rare (Ray) in reference to the choice of the old villagers to leave berry farming to plant White Muscat which responded well to the conditions of the area. It is an excellent expression of the local topography, as fresh as the air of the Monferatto mountains, sweet and cool at the same time. Its sweetness is balanced by the natural acidity and the result is a pleasant, fresh and not at all bubbly wine. It will go great with many different desserts, such as orange cakes, or white pastries and even salty cheeses. If you want to take the flavour combination a step further try it with very spicy ethnic dishes such as those of Thai and Indian cuisine.

Isole e Olena Chianti Classico is yet another example of the finesse and delicacy of the wines of Paolo de Marchi. Fresh and juicy with the classic notes of red cherry, mint and licorice, wrapped around the typical fine tannins of Sangiovese and all this on top of a palate that is overwhelming you with the freshness of its acidity. Elements of smoke and a...

    2003 - Loire - 500ml

On the one hand, great aromatic and flavour concentration, intensely oily sensation and richness in the mouth. On the other hand, excellent range, air and freshness. Multi-layered flavours and aromas, notes of quince, toast, caramel, along with strong dry-fruit elements. Richly sweet but with terrific lift and spirit leading to an exciting finish with...
