Jo Landron Muscadet Sevre Et Maine "Le Fief du Breil"

28,90 €

After thirty months in delicate wine cellars in concrete underground tanks, Le Fief du Breil, apart from refuting everything the books say about Muscadet, is in a single word epic. The best way to understand it is to think of it as a friendlier version of a Burgundy, with the equivalent tensions of a top Chablis but more deliciousness. With a stony minerality that balances the oily - fine - texture of the wine on the palate, Le Fief du Breil is the spearhead of the charismatic Jo Landron and has aging potential well beyond a decade.

More info

The exceptional southern exposure vineyard in the cru village of La Haye-Fouassiere is biodynamically farmed and has been distinguished for centuries for the top quality of the wines it produces. Le Fief du Breil is slowly fermented with indigenous yeasts and then left for thirty months on the lees in Landron's large underground concrete tanks. The result is an exceptionally layered wine, a unique package of exceptional texture and elegance that has nothing to do with the stereotype of the region's lean, lean wines. A wine with ripe attractive fruit, floral notes and refreshing citrus followed by a super-full palate of minerality and juicy fruit, balancing electric, laser-like intensities in the mouth.
