Tissot Trousseau "En Amphore"

66,90 €

As if frozen in time, the Jura region has become primarily loved for its battle against modernity and flavour uniformity. An isolated piece of land that has managed to preserve age-old traditions, local varieties and unique wine styles. Next to the deep tradition of the region, Stephane Tissot experiments in the cellar with expensive toys such as Stockinger Austrian barrels or fashionable clay amphorae. Trousseau en Amphore meets all the virtues of biodynamic farming and natural winemaking with native yeasts, clay amphorae and absence of sulphites. Finesse and elegance are its main characteristics. No great, concentrated, red wine will ever be able to lift your spirits like this one.

More info

Fruity and floral sensation - think violets; green pepper and notes of cherry and plum. Fine tannins give the wine a serious dimension, while refinement and elegance run the gamut through to the gently phenolic finish. Stemming was done by hand and maceration lasted a total of three months in 420l clay amphorae. It then remained for a further four months and was bottled without any sulphites added. Freshness despite the accentuated alcohol of the vintage and mild earthiness in a wine with energy and vitality from start to finish.
