Lakomata is one of the most impressive slopes in the Robola zone and lends its name to the single-vineyard Robola of Evriviadis Sklavos. The vineyard is situated on steep slopes and the poor white soils stand out in the distance. In the excellent mesoclimate of this particular semi-mountainous part of the zone, (around 600m altitude), Slavos applies organic and biodynamic farming, producing grapes of excellent quality and hygiene, which he vinifies based on a mild natural vinification protocol with minimal sulphites and no interventions. The wine is sensational, a Robola with thickness, ripe fruit, high acidity and fantastic ageing potential developing minerality and honey. All you need is patience over time.

More info

It's hard not to be captivated by Lakomata, a great expression of the dynamism and greatness of the Kefalonian Robola. The aromas of the wine do not stop evolving in the glass, the ripeness plays with the freshness of the acidity, the character in the mouth is complex and the wine clearly gives you a sense of fullness. This is one of the most divine wines not only of the Kefalonia vineyard but of the Greek vineyard, with great potential for evolution in the bottle. Its production is minimal and it takes effort and partly luck to be able to "get your hands" on one of the few and few bottles that circulate and usually disappear in a flash.
