    Markos Markovitis produces a Naoussa style that fits the old-fashioned traditions of the region, without the use of synthetic chemicals, with organic farming and very old barrels. At the same time it has a fascinating immediacy and purity of fruit achieving a subtle capture of the distinctive characteristics of each vintage. Almost always, it finds the perfect balance against the captivating power of Xinomavro. It is expressed through an elegant performance in the tannins, with elegance versus obvious power and with the red fruit consistently taking the lead. Marcos' wines showcase the more innocent, charming side of Naoussa but always keep in mind the surprisingly complex aged bottles. Wines that he regularly releases to the market and celebrate the aging potential of Xinomavro.

    The year 2019 comes with its cool and refreshing alcohol making a clear nod to the Burgundy region. The bouquet offers a beautiful and expressive combination of red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, with earthy notes reminiscent of roots such as beetroot and more peppery elements. The wine is lively on the palate, with a youthful tannic structure and that light Xinomavro wildness that captivates all fans of the variety. It is approachable and pleasant right off the bat, having achieved the expected balance between fruit and tannin. But in reality this is another Naoussa of Markovitis that will evolve beautifully in the cellar developing layered tertiary characteristics.
