The plain of Alina is a place name in the area known as Vouni Panagia. It was from those vineyards that Andreas Kyriakidis produced his first Xynisteri in 1987. To this day, the estate's excellent Xynisteri borrows its name from this area and is produced from a number of many different vineyard plots at altitudes ranging from 800 to 1150 m. Stunning limestone and slate soils and autiris cups, whose age even exceeds 90 years, give Vouni Panagia's Xynisteri nerve, minerality and a firm character at the start. With bottle ageing, the wine will impress with the honeyed and petrol mineral character it develops. Xynisteri is an indigenous white variety "diamond" of the Cypriot vineyard.
