Monte Dall' Ora Recioto della Valpolicella Classico "Sant'Ulderico" DOCG

67,00 €

Recioto wines are wines full of soul. Bringing the nose to the glass makes it easy to pour out a world of emotions. Amarone's sweet counterpart has a history that goes back centuries and is at the forefront of the world's most renowned sweet wines. The Castelretto hill with its ancient terraces in front of Monte Dall'Ora has an unsurpassed reputation for producing top Recioto for centuries. Recioto offers a unique combination of flavours and textures. But the sweetness doesn't quite suit the modern palate that has turned to the drier styles of Amarone. And yet Sant'Ulderico with its dried fruit, complexity, tensions and a deliciously velvety texture is hard to pass up. It's voluptuously sweet without being heavy at all. A wine that will age in an unimaginable way for decades.

More info

High intensity fruit with notes of strawberry and strawberry jam, raisin, dried plum and balsamic aromas. Carlo and Alessandra fully respect the heritage of their region, Verona's most historic wine, by selecting perfectly healthy grapes from biodynamically cultivated vineyards. After about 4 months of drying, the grapes are taken to open oak winemakers where, with gentle natural vinification, they produce Sant' Ulderico. Before you rush past due to sweetness, scrape a few "rocks" of aged Parmesan next to it. There aren't many wines that can offer such a generous, divine combination that will surely wink at you.
