Matthew and Camille continue the philosophy of their father who was one of the most influential producers not only in Beaujolais but worldwide. Le Beaujolais is from 3 vineyard parcels adjacent to Villie-Morgon that are entitled to the generic appellation of origin. The style is somewhere between the playfulness of Raisins Gaulois and the seriousness of Lapierre's Morgon. It has the typical varietal aromas of raspberry, cherry, violet and liquorice and is a perfectly fruity and charming wine.

As much as it lacks the robustness of Morgon, Le Beaujolais is a wine that bears all the hallmarks of the late Marcel Lapierre's philosophy. The vineyards from the three vineyards are over 70 years old and organically farmed. The winery follows the region's classic method of carbonic maceration, giving the wine immediate drinkability and generous fresh and vibrant fruit. The fruit is framed by spicy elements and tannins that are delicious and very soft. The fermentations are spontaneous, it contains no sulphites or any other additives and is bottled unfiltered. It will be left for about 6 months in used barrels to settle naturally and will be released fresh, full of vitality and expressiveness.
