Bernard Baudry Chinon Clos Guillot

The youngest vines on the hillside of Les Clos Guillot receive excellent care and always combined with a careful, totally traditional, look at winemaking. This traditional approach, with indigenous yeasts, concrete tanks and long ageing in old Burgundy barrels gives an incredible wine in purity of expression and fruit extract. On the nose, aromas on the verge of seduction emanating freshness of rose, crisp fruit and an extraordinary spicy note reminiscent of pepper. Balanced, wonderfully lively with successive layers of juicy cherry, anise and green pepper, with delicate tannins flowing through the palate offering a delight. It will age superbly but is already ready, elegantly expressive, perfectly balanced on the palate and with great length.
