The second label of the duo from the mountain village of Melambes in Rethymno comes from young vineyards aged 5-15 years old in three vineyards in the region. Against the restrained charm of Vidianos from the old vines, the wine from the new vines shows an excellent extroversion and directness. Expressive aromas, lively acidity and the character of the variety in full development already from the beginning of its life. The Vidiano young vines come from three different vineyards in the village of Melamps in Rethymnon. The vines are dry, planted on slopes with an altitude of 650m from the surface of the sea level. The vinification is done in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts and low sulphites. The wine is not clarified and the general interventions are minimal possible. The contact with the fine lees for 6 months gives a beautiful and natural appearance and richness to the wine, elements that balance the crisp acidity that as a result of the high altitude. The aromas are intense, youthful, full of fruit reminiscent of peach and apricot and complemented by Mediterranean herbs. A wine that is already enjoyable and ready to drink.
