Domaine Aux Moines "Le Berceau des Fées" Magnum

73,10 €

Berceau des Fees is a Chenin of crystalline clarity and nerve from the young vines of the estate in Roche Aux Moines whose average age does not exceed 10 years. Floral, with excellent freshness and liveliness on the palate, with a similar acidity and mineral finish to the Roche Aux Moines but more friendly and immediate drinking fruit. This is a wine of gentle natural vinification from Tessa Laroche, who here does not aim for concentration but seeks immediacy and enjoyment. Both the care in the vineyard and the approach in the winery do not deviate at all from Tessa's habits, as these vines will grow to provide fruit for the "first violin" of the estate, "Savennières-Roche Aux Moines". Until then, they lead to a fresh Chenin that overflows with tension and energy in the glass.

More info

Its name means the cradle of the fairies and is borrowed from the forest bordering the young vines of the Domaine aux Moines estate. The vines are grown organically and with biodynamic practices and the wine is produced with a perfectly gentle natural vinification, with indigenous yeasts and no added sulphites. The wine is vinified and matured in stainless steel tanks where it remains in contact with the lees for about 9 months. Sharp and lively on the palate, floral and citrusy on the nose, an "intelligent" variation on the concentrated and often austere (in youth) and serious style of Chenin Blanc from the Savennières region.
