Terre Nere Etna Rosso

25,40 €

Tenuta delle Terre Nere's classic Etna Rosso introduced several of us to the graces of the wines of Europe's highest volcano. It has all the classic quality characteristics of volcano wines: lightness to the touch in the mouth, high-intensity fruit and an almost intoxicating aromatic side reminiscent of violets, pink grapefruit and herbs. On the palate the tannins have a very elegant dimension, with the wine clearly leaning towards grace rather than power, but without lacking the latter. For more muscular wines you should turn to the single-vineyard vintages from the cru of Etna. In every aspect of this wine, however, the quintessence of the region's magical character emerges without a doubt: tension without excess and finesse alternative to an excellent Pinot Noir. It is no accident that Etna is described as the Burgundy of the Mediterranean.

More info

Nerello Mascalese gives excellent rosés and Etna Rosato from younger vines in different parts of the zone, is a rosé that is imprinted in memory. A real firework of intensity and minerality, it is nothing like the candied fruit and sweetness that comes to mind when it comes to rosé wines. Serious, with pulsating energy and tensions, salty minerality and the freshness of a cold climate, it doubles the fantastic terroir of Etna into a version of a very serious rosé wine. A wine that doesn't just aim to quench your thirst by the beach but has as its ultimate destination the gastronomic experience it can offer you alongside a multitude of choices from the Mediterranean cuisine.
