Καρανίκα Ξινόμαυρο Old Vines

22,90 €

The viticultural richness of the Amyndeon region is staggering and Lawrence Hartman relies on 60 and 100 year old vines to produce this ultra-light Xinomavro, an "ode" to the specific mountainous terroir. The vintage gave the wine a stunning elegance, with tannins on the palate that feel as if they've been embroidered, combined with the floral and fruity character that is a hallmark of the region. Lawrence himself worked the extractions only with pigeage, fermented in old foudres , lowered the sulfites a lot and the result he achieved managed to enchant us. Red fruit, floral character, tomato, expressiveness, but above all electric energy that permeates the body from top to toe.
