    The "Combe de Pre" is located on the upper part of the slope of Marsannay-la-Côte next to the lieu-dit "Les Echezeaux" and is the coldest vineyard in the region. This often means that the harvest is at least a week later than the Galeyrand harvest in the Gevrey-Chambertin area. This means that the fruit of 'Combe de Pre' is very 'lively', crisp and full of energy. Fine red fruit on the nose, graphite minerality and on the palate the wine is lighter but with excess freshness from its crisp acidity. The tannins are "silky" and overall this is an extremely delicate wine in character with very "cool" fruit.

    The vineyard is located in the middle of the slope and was planted in 1980. The soil is a type of marly limestone that has an abundance of marine fossils. The cultivation is certified organic using biodynamic farming techniques. In winemaking 15-20% whole bunches are used and fermentation is with indigenous yeasts. The wine will be aged for 12-14 months in oak barrels, with a 20% new barrel rate. No clarification is carried out and a gentle filtration is done if necessary. Sulphites are low and are only added at bottling. (30-45ppm).
