The "invasion" of the French in the Cyclades continues. The new venture on the island of Paros was launched in 2020 by Nicola and Marie Bourget and is a small winery producing wines of mild intervention from local varieties of the island and often very old vineyards of the island.
Leaving behind their restaurant in Nantes, together with their two daughters, they settled on the island and since 2020 and have dedicated themselves to promoting the viticultural wealth of Paros. Their "vehicle" is the native varieties of the island, the traditional "applotaria", organic farming (in the process of certifying the small privately owned vineyard) and the philosophy of producing natural wines, as Nicola knew and loved in France and in his restaurant.
The wines are produced with zero interventions, without additional formulations and with absolute dedication to the promotion of the viticultural wealth of Paros. Sulphites are kept at very low levels and the addition is only done before the wine is bottled.
Nicola and Marie's wines beautifully combine French finesse with the steep and rugged Cycladic terroir. They are making their dream come true through Domaine Myrsini by relocating to a place they have loved dearly and we enjoy a perfectly pure and direct expression of wines from the Cycladic island with its very long viticultural history.
